Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is hiring a Palletizer for the Distribution Center in North Kingstown, RI. Shift is first, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with responsibilities to build, wrap, and move pallets and ensure accurate packaging for shipment.

The role uses RF scanners and pallet jacks, with attention to safety, quality, and productivity standards. Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate related equipment is required.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of Powered Equipment Training Program and attainment of license.
• Complete Splitting Area Training Program and pass proficiency test.
• Operate powered industrial equipment and obtain applicable license.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet standards.
• Learn to use RF scanner and wrapping machine.
• Meet area productivity, quality, safety, housekeeping, and attendance standards.

Responsibilities

• Build, stack, wrap, run, and sort pallets according to established standards.
• Load and unload freight in a safe, efficient manner.
• Operate walkie talkies and pallet jacks; inspect equipment.
• Perform RF scanning, documentation, and consolidation.
• Label and date merchandise with identification and category numbers.
• Maintain neat, safe, and compliant work area.
