Job summary

Villages Surgery Center in The Villages, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse - OR to deliver comprehensive perioperative care across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative stages. The role requires OR experience, active RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS certifications.

The ideal candidate will assess patient needs, develop and implement an individualized care plan, document clearly, and communicate effectively with the team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Operating Room experience required.
• Assesses physiological and psychosocial health status of patient.
• Verbal reports pertinent information to appropriate staff.
• Documents in patient records with professional title.
• Assesses level of understanding and expectations of care.
• Establishes patient/family goals that are mutually acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through nursing process in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases.
• Formulate Plan of Care for the patient and implement tailored nursing care.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safe judgment within Nurse Practice Act guidelines.
• Communicate and document for continuity of care with the care team.
