Job summary

Woodlawn Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for the day shift to support patients across outpatient, inpatient, and swing bed settings. You will help individuals regain independence and improve daily functioning through personalized, compassionate therapy services.

You will document progress, communicate with physicians about goals and progress, and develop and update the plan of care. The role also involves supervising support staff and OT students, aligned with the OT code of ethics.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana OT license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Current driver's license required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in outpatient, inpatient, and swing bed settings.
• Maintain required paperwork for each patient.
• Communicate with physicians regarding patients' goals, treatment, and progress.
• Develop and update a plan of care.
• Treatment of patients.
• Must be consistent with the Occupational Therapy code of standards and code of ethics.
• Review and update Plan of Care.
• Maintain proper documentation on each patient.
• Communicate with physician, family, and caregivers regarding patients' treatment and progress.
• Education patient and caregivers regarding condition and self-treatment.
• Finalize discharge paperwork.
• Supervision of Support Staff.
• Utilize and instruct support staff for patient care and clerical duties.
• Supervision of Students.
• Utilize and instruct Occupational Therapy students during their clinical rotations.
• Communication with COTAs.
