Job summary

The Museum of Modern Art is seeking Security Officers to interact with visitors and provide directions about the collection and events. All positions are dayshift (AM) for a 40-hour workweek with weekdays off.

Responsibilities include enforcing museum policies, performing patrols, and reporting safety issues. NYS Guard certification is required; CPR/AED/FSD and Fire Guard training may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• New York State Guard certificate required; CPR/AED/FSD and/or Fire Guard certification preferred, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Interact with visitors in a positive and welcoming manner; provide directions and information about the Museum and events.
• Execute opening and closing procedures; inspect galleries and surrounding areas before public hours.
