Job summary

WACKER in Charleston, TN is seeking a Technician Multi-Craft (Day Shift) to perform maintenance on utility and infrastructure systems. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, with experience in DeltaV DCS and Siemens PLC, and the ability to read schematics.

You will troubleshoot, repair and calibrate equipment, support start-up activities, and collaborate with Engineering & Maintenance and Operations teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Journeyman or higher in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of field experience troubleshooting and inspecting plant equipment and systems.
• Experience with gear drives, bearings, pumps, motors, instrumentation and electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, routine and emergency maintenance on utility and infrastructure systems.
• Maintain, calibrate, and repair mechanical and electrical plant equipment (pumps, motors, instrumentation).
• Troubleshoot Power Supply equipment including switchgear and transformers; ensure NFPA70E training and electrical safety.
