Switchcraft/Conxall in Villa Park, IL is seeking a Mold Setup Technician to support efficient molding operations. This role sets up molds, adjusts machines, manages materials, and documents processes to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.

The position runs Monday through Friday on a day shift, with a pay rate of $18.54/hour. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and experience in molding are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with molding, machine setup, or manufacturing operations.
• Ability to read and interpret specification sheets and process documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork across functions.

Responsibilities

• Procure, assemble, and install correct mold components per specifications.
• Purge molding machines of previous materials before setup.
• Set up and adjust mold pressure, temperature, and cycle time.
• Document and maintain known good setups for repeatability.
• Monitor resin and colorant levels and initiate purchases as needed.
• Collaborate with Tool Room and IE to repair tooling and coordinate new orders.
• Review spec sheets and report discrepancies to QA or IE.
• Communicate process improvements to Production Manager.
• Ensure correct resin/colorant quantities issued to each job.
