Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), St. Joseph’s Highland is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician to perform routine and complex testing in all major clinical laboratory areas.

Under general supervision, this role ensures accurate and valid test results that support diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include analyzing specimens and preparing detailed reports, contributing to high-quality laboratory services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and successful completion of a NAACLS-accredited medical laboratory technician program, OR
• 60 credit hours including chemistry and biology with 50-week US military medical laboratory training, OR 3 years lab experience in last 10 years.
• Associates degree in Laboratory Sciences required for Physician Enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex testing in all major clinical laboratory areas.
• Analyze specimens and prepare detailed reports to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure accurate and valid test results under general supervision.

Education

NAACLS-accredited medical laboratory technician program

60 credit hours with chemistry and biology + military medical laboratory training

Associates degree in Laboratory Sciences (Physician Enterprise)
