Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories / Laboratory Sciences of Arizona seeks a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist for the lab team. The role covers 1st and 2nd shifts, with varied scheduled days and hours.

The incumbent will perform testing, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist with specimen collection and processing. Responsibilities include startup/calibration, instrumentation accuracy, and contributing to quality assurance while mentoring staff and participating in committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• MLS or categorical certification required or completion certificate.
• Demonstrated phlebotomy competency when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing accurately following policies and performance standards.
• Assist with compliance to CLIA, JCAHO, CAP and OSHA requirements.
• Process and/or prepare patient samples including collection and processing.
• Lead in absence of on-site leadership and participate in QA activities.
• Provide educational information to internal and external customers.
