Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a Magnet Hospital team and support patient care excellence. The role spans medication management, monitoring, and administrative duties to ensure safe, welcoming patient experiences.

On a typical day, you will assist with screenings, coordinate with staff to update records, and help maintain a clean, well-equipped environment. Strong BLS and externship experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association within the new hire period.
• Military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
• Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication management, patient monitoring, administrative tasks and more.
• Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
• Assist in pre-visit planning by updating the health maintenance tab.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
