Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital and experience world-class healthcare at its best. As a Medical Assistant in the Otolaryngology department, you will support providers with patient care, medication management and administrative tasks in a fast-paced specialty setting.

You will work days 8:30am-4:30pm, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, prepare exam rooms, assist with screenings, monitor patient condition and maintain equipment to ensure high-quality health outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program.
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association within new hire period.
  • Military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
  • Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with screening and treatments by updating health information and documenting patient care.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
  • Assist in pre-visit planning by updating health maintenance information.
  • Perform administrative/clerical duties such as filing, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.

Education

Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA)
Military medical training (HM, 68W, 4N0X1)
