Job summary

Avera Spencer Clinic in Spencer, IA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join a multidisciplinary team. The role includes collecting blood and specimens, performing EKGs, tympanograms, and basic lab tasks while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Regular full/part-time hours with rotating weekends/holidays. Requires CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA or NCMA credentials; Associate's in Medical Assisting preferred. PTO and retirement benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must have current CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA certifications available Upon Hire.
• Associate's degree in Medical Assisting preferred; others may qualify with certifications.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood and other specimens from patients.
• Perform EKGs, tympanograms, oximetry, and basic lab tests.
• sterilizes and maintains autoclaves; handles lab reports and communications.
• Coordinate orders and reports for physicians and nursing facilities.
• Explain notices to Medicare patients and understand diagnosis codes.
