Job summary

Avera Family Health Center Marion Rd is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the clinical team led by Dr. Carla Konrad. You will perform medical assistant and clerical duties to care for clinic patients, document procedures, and maintain patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a CCMA/CMA/RMA or NCMA certification, strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail, with the ability to educate patients and maintain high care standards. PTO and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified and communicate effectively.
• Visual acuity sufficient to perform duties.
• Ability to interact with patients and families.
• Must meet the listed certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in care to patients as directed by provider based on competency.
• Documents all patient procedures accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain timely flow of patients.
• Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests; educate on procedures, medications and health maintenance.
• Greet patients and collect history and vital signs.
• Label and process lab specimens per lab procedures.
• Maintain exam room with supplies; perform cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Provide back-up support for front desk tasks as needed.
