Job summary

Kaweah Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide unit leadership and clinical expertise on the day shift. Under the nurse manager, you will mentor staff, coordinate care, and ensure safe, efficient patient flow on a busy 12-hour shift in Visalia, CA.

The role requires CA RN license, BLS, and timely crisis intervention training; BSN/MSN preferred. You will implement unit goals, collaborate with physicians, and uphold regulatory standards while promoting compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• CA RN license is required
• BLS certification required
• Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer
• Preferred: Nationally recognized certification per specialty Core Curriculum Pathway

Responsibilities

• Is a primary clinical resource for staff on assigned unit.
• Is a role model and mentor for staff on the unit.
• Provides leadership and support for staff through problem solving and decision making.
• Manages staff and patient flow, including staffing assignments and acuity based prioritization.
• Ensures collaboration between staff, physicians, and departments involved in patient care.
• Coordinates care in high-risk/emergent situations and keeps leadership informed.
• Maintains documentation and reports as assigned.
• Performs duties of a Registered Nurse per job code 7020339.

BSN, MSN, or currently enrolled in RN-BSN program
