Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a logistics associate to provide routine replenishment support for the central distribution center. You will handle daily receiving, breakdown, distribution and stocking of generic supplies according to a 5a-1p Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities include accurate counting, inspection of shipments, and preparing materials for shipment. This role uses forklifts and pallet jacks to move stock under supervision and supports documentation and records.

Qualifications

• Performs shipping/receiving duties and handles paperwork for material flow.
• Counts/weighs/measures incoming/outgoing items for accuracy against records.
• Examines shipments for damage or shortages and coordinates with shipper to resolve.
• Completes required paperwork for documentation and traceability.
• Determines shipment methods and routes based on procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
• Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify.
• Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.
• Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
• Prepares materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping. Prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
• Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
• Performs work under direct supervision and handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher‑level staff.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
