Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Material Handler in Batavia, IL to move materials between production areas and support a smooth production flow. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, pick and stage orders, and help maintain accurate inventory while adhering to safety standards.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm CST with occasional overtime; pay is $20 per hour, and prior Crown forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year Crown forklift experience; reach truck experience a plus.
• OSHA forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inbound: unload shipments, inspect for damage, report discrepancies.
• Order picking: ensure correct product, quantity, and lot/serial details.
• Outbound: verify labeling and addresses; load into trailers or containers.
• Maintain equipment and worksite in a clean, safe condition.
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts; support other duties as assigned.
