Job summary

Bell Flavors & Fragrances is seeking a Material Handler to support our Northbrook, IL manufacturing team. This role moves raw materials to the compounding area, ensures inventory accuracy, and facilitates production readiness.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with overtime as needed. Candidates should be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced warehouse environment; forklift and barcode scanner experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED.
• 3 months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift or material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions, labels, safety information, reports, and training materials.
• Ability to use computers and warehouse management systems.
• Must be able to understand and follow SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and job-specific work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve raw materials from the warehouse and deliver them to the compounding area based on production needs.
• Accurately transfer materials between warehouse and production locations using ERP systems and handheld barcode scanners.
• Return raw materials to warehouse locations after use and help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow FEFO inventory practices and support cycle counting activities.
• Replenish materials, solutions, PG, and ethanol alcohol totes used in production.
• Assist with batch processing, resampling, and submitting materials to Quality Control as needed.
• Pull samples for raw materials and finished goods evaluations.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and handheld barcode scanners.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, SOPs, and food safety requirements.
