Job summary

SICK, Inc. in Minneapolis is seeking a Repair Technician I to ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment.

This day shift role (Monday–Friday) focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime. You will read drawings, follow procedures, document maintenance activities, and support installation and commissioning of new machinery.

Qualifications

0-2 years of technical experience in electronic or mechanical manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or GED required; Electro/Mechanical Technical Associates degree preferred.
Electrical, mechanical, soldering, or wiring certifications are assets.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Follow procedures to monitor equipment performance, safety, and effectiveness.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues daily.
Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery.
Document maintenance activities, manage work orders and parts inventory.
