Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Worcester, MA seeks a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver nursing care in a warm, home-like environment. Day coverage is available and you will join a dedicated team focused on resident comfort and family-centered care.

You will assess and document residents' status, supervise aides, and coordinate care with providers to ensure safety and dignity for senior residents.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred.
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents' status.
• Observes and reports any significant changes in resident health to the care team per state regulations.
• Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentors and guides Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via case management processes.
• Balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognizes and reports elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and personal emergency response system as needed.
