Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Surgical Associates of Richmond is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a full-time day-shift role, Monday through Friday with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

You will provide clinical expertise, screen patients, obtain vitals, assist with exams, manage charting and tests, and coordinate referrals and patient education.

Requirements include an active LPN license and a minimum of 2 years' hospital or clinic experience; a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse following state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, obtaining vitals and testing as needed.
• Notify patients of test results and coordinate follow-up appointments and instructions.
• Maintain patient records and chart entries including lab and examination results.
• Schedule tests, treatments and referrals, coordinating pre-authorizations as directed.
• Assist providers during exams and management of patient care.
