Masonicare Corp in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Laundry Aide for the day shift. The role supports washing and finishing functions, with a 40-hour week from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, every other weekend required.

Qualifications

• Education: Less than High School
• Experience: On Job Training
• Key competencies: read and follow instructions; lift up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing; manual dexterity and mobility; reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling & crouching

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks according to daily assignment schedule.
• Sort, fold, shake and press items in the clean processing area.
• Assist in sorting soiled linen under direction of the washman.
• Finish linen by mangling following procedures.
• Detect and report faulty equipment or materials to supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with residents recognizing their needs.
• Attend meetings and participate in inservice programs.
• Follow universal precautions and chemicals used in the department.
• Perform other duties as required.
