Job summary

Confluent Medical Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Laser Equipment Technician II for our Fremont, CA facility. The role supports the Day Shift Laser Operations Team with responsibilities including laser system setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma with at least 3 years of related experience or an Associate degree in laser technology, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience or equivalent.
• Associate degree in laser technology is a plus.
• Intimate knowledge of laser alignment, equipment usage and safety required.

Responsibilities

• Be an advocate for safety in the laser production area.
• Troubleshoot laser systems (laser engine, motion system, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components).
• Perform laser system setup of manufacturing lots by following work instructions and equipment operating procedures.
• Understand and maintain process documentation (Work Instructions, Drawings, and Operating Manuals).
• Regularly report on laser system status and assigned project status.
• Support the team in maintaining consumables and spare components in the laser stock room.
• Communicate technical status and production floor issues clearly; collaborate in a team setting.
• Support and enforce company goals and procedures.
