Job summary

JCCA in Pleasantville, NY seeks a Kitchen & Dining Services Assistant to support food service and daily operations. You will help maintain sanitation, assist with food preparation, and ensure a welcoming dining experience for clients and staff.

This hands-on role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to follow safety guidelines. Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 3 PM, with a NY driver’s license and basic high school education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License.
• Ability to drive a non-CDL motor vehicle.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines, instructions, and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with food preparation following approved food handling procedures.
• Rotate perishable items to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
• Set up dining areas for daily meals and special events.
• Follow best practices for dishwashing and kitchen sanitation.
• Restock food supplies, cookware, tableware, and containers in designated areas.
• Manage inventory for Kitchen and Clothing Room supplies.
