Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside buildings or client sites. The role requires flexibility to adapt to client specifications and schedules, with a standard 8am-4pm shift and a $12/hour wage.

The position includes responsibilities from cleaning floors and restrooms to window and carpet care, with on-the-job training provided and weekly pay for dependable, detail-oriented applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (or 6 months janitorial experience).
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail required.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs
