Job summary

Tidelands Health is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support imaging and therapeutic interventions, working closely with Interventional Radiologists. The position emphasizes patient care, sterile technique, radiation safety, and high-level imaging operations.

The role includes mentoring new staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring procedural success while adhering to ALARA guidelines. This on-site role supports the hospital's imaging department and overall patient care goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in Radiologic Technology.
• Experience in dedicated Interventional Radiology required.
• BLS certification within 30 days required.
• ARRT Radiography required; Cardiac/vascular IR credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and educate families; review labs and allergies.
• Scrub in and maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Operate interventional imaging equipment and select exposure factors.
• Assist with angiography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, biopsies, drains, and ports.
