Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living in Effingham, IL is seeking a Housekeeper Aide to provide cleaning services that ensure a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will follow facility policies and state/federal regulations while upholding residents' privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas; handling trash and biohazard waste per procedures; using PPE; reporting safety hazards; and supporting

Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare environment in Environmental Services preferred.
• Friendly attitude and excellent communication skills required.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.

Responsibilities

• Cleans (dust, dry mop, wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily according to facility procedures.
• Respects resident’s privacy and preferences about room arrangement and personal items.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and waxed floors according to department procedures and cleaning schedules.
• Disposes of trash and waste following facility policies and procedures.
• Keeps chemicals and cleaning supplies in original containers and follows PPE requirements.
• Reports safety hazards or environmental concerns to supervisor and participates in safety drills.
