Job summary

Hillcrest Healthcare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Float Clinical Pharmacist Operations Specialist to oversee daily operations of the operational specialty areas within the pharmacy and provide pharmaceutical care to patients as needed.

You will coordinate training, testing, and support informatics while serving as a subject matter expert and preceptor for pharmacy students or residents. A PharmD or B.S., hospital clinical experience, and Oklahoma licensure are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or Pharm D. from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or fellowship AND a PGY-2 Specialty Residency or fellowship (in an appropriate specialty field).
• OR Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship AND 3+ years clinical pharmacy experience (if no PGY-2 is completed).
• OR 5+ years clinical pharmacy experience with no residency or fellowship.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification.
• ALS/ACLS certification.
• Other applicable state requirements – i.e. sterile compounding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of operational specialty practice areas (IV room, diversion/narcotics management, informatics, residency program director/coordinator, etc.).
• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients as needed as staff pharmacist.
• Provide user support, perform maintenance activities and troubleshooting, monitor policy adherence.
• Coordinate upgrade testing activities, education, and serve as SME for operational specialty areas.
• Serve as preceptor for pharmacy students or residents.
