Job summary

EvergreenHealth Monroe is seeking a skilled Plant Operations professional for full-time day shifts. The role involves general maintenance and construction activities related to mechanical, electrical, heating and ventilation, carpentry, and plumbing systems within the hospital setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least 5 years of construction-related experience, with proficiency in power tools, carpentry, welding, and electrical safety.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction related field or trade.
• Experience with construction power tools and a variety of equipment.
• Knowledge of Building codes and ASHRAE standards.
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs doors, door frames and hardware items.
• Repairs and constructs cabinets, countertops, shelving and casework.
• Performs carpentry work orders and repair tasks.
• Assists contractors with construction projects.
• Performs alterations and renovations such as paneling and moving doorways.
• Repairs drywall, windows, flooring and ceilings.
• Ensures timely completion of carpentry work orders and repairs.
• Observes safety protocols and uses PPE.
