Virginia Eagle Distributing Company is seeking a Warehouse Associate II for the day shift in Fredericksburg, VA. You will restock the floor, maintain the Controlled Environment Warehouse, and ensure the evening team has what they need to build accurate orders and get trucks out on time.

The role emphasizes safe forklift operation, adherence to CEW standards, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced, team-oriented facility where your contributions directly move the business forward daily.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required; must obtain within 90 days if not certified.
• 2+ years of forklift experience preferred.
• Able to lift 15–40+ lbs repeatedly during a 10–15 hour shift.
• Basic math skills for counting case quantities.
• Reliable attendance essential.
• Comfortable working in a high-noise, temperature-controlled environment (approx. 50°F in the CEW; outdoor temps in drive-thru areas).
• Composite-toe footwear required on day one.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks to restock and move pallets.
• Straighten the CEW daily — level product and organize inventory.
• Maintain facility cleanliness to VE D standards; address spills.
• Identify and segregate damaged product; handle out-of-code products.
• Reload dunnage items and prepare supplier returns weekly.
• Assist with picking delivery route orders using EasyPick; follow pick sheets.
• Complete daily forklift pre-shift inspections and maintain certification.
• Cross-train in other warehouse positions including evening shift coverage.
