Job summary

Virginia Eagle Distributing Co. in Verona, VA is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator for the day shift. You will restock the floor, maintain the Controlled Environment Warehouse, and ensure the evening team has what they need to build clean orders and ship trucks on time.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 15-40+ lbs repeatedly over a 10-15 hour shift.
• Ability to count and verify case quantities.
• Experience operating sit-down forklifts in a CEW environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts and walk-behind pallet jacks to restock and move pallets.
• Straighten CEW pallets for structural integrity and organize inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and address spills; manage outside storage and draft cooler areas.
• Identify damaged product and handle out-of-code items per policy.
• Reload dunnage and prepare for supplier returns weekly.
• Assist with picking delivery routes using EasyPick scanning; follow pick sheets.
• Complete daily forklift pre-shift inspections and maintain certification.
• Cross-train for other warehouse roles and cover evening shift if needed.
