Job summary

Virginia Eagle Distributing Co. is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator for day shift in Winchester, VA. You will restock the floor, maintain the Controlled Environment Warehouse, and ensure timely availability of items for the evening shift.

The role requires accurate pallet handling, strict safety practices, and teamwork to drive daily operations. We offer competitive hourly pay and a benefits package with health coverage, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift; certification required or obtained within 90 days.
• 2+ years of forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 15–40+ lbs repeatedly over long shifts.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work in a loud CEW environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to restock product and move pallets across the shift.
• Straighten the CEW and maintain organized inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and address spills; manage storage areas and cooler.
• Identify damaged product and handle out-of-code items per policy.
• Assist with picking delivery routes and follow scanning procedures.
• Complete daily forklift inspections and maintain certification.
• Cross-train for other warehouse positions and evening coverage.
