Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a 1st shift forklift operator to load/unload, rotate products, and support manufacturing operations. You will operate sit-down forklifts, ensure loads are centered, and coordinate with supervisors to meet ship dates in a mobile, outdoor setting.

The role requires safety adherence, literacy, and basic MS Office skills, with relevant certifications and a valid US driver license. Expect outdoor work across all seasons and collaboration with production teams.

Qualifications

• Loading and unloading experience.
• FLT certifications and crane certifications.
• Must read and write.
• Outlook, Excel, Word, and web browser skills required.
• Analytical problem solver with good communication skills.
• Experience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes.
• Must have a valid US Driver License.
• Completion of high school or equivalent education preferred.
• 2+ years previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift and other industrial machinery.
• Rotate product into and out of buildings for manufacturing accessibility.
• Load and unload trucks with the correct equipment to and from the facility.
• Check that loads are centered and properly loaded.
• Track manufacturing unit progress and ship dates for timely load outs.
• Communicate with supervisor to ensure fulfillment.
• Work outside for long periods in all seasons.
• Multitask and prioritize daily schedules and requirements.
• Report movement of goods with production teams.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety policies.
