Job summary

Sysco in Westbrook, ME is seeking an Operations associate to operate powered industrial equipment in a warehouse environment. You will drive a Reach forklift to place product in overstock slots, move pallets, and support packing and staging activities on the day shift.

The role requires safety awareness, basic math, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Valid forklift experience and a HS diploma or equivalent are preferred; excellent benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED or 6 months related warehouse experience or training
• 6 months of warehouse distribution experience
• Previous stand-up forklift Reach truck experience
• Pass mandatory ergonomics testing

Responsibilities

• Operates electric forklift Reach to move and lift pallets in cooler, freezer, and dry spaces
• Stores and removes pallets from rack locations
• Puts product in overflow locations and assists with packing locations
• Hand stacks product onto/off pallets and packing locations
• Maintains a clean work environment and handles debris and trash
• Transfers leftover items to Home slot and cleans aisles at shift end
