Job summary

Virginia Eagle Distributing Company in Verona, VA seeks a Warehouse Associate II for the day shift. You will operate sit-down forklifts, stock the CEW, and ensure timely order pickup for trucking.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate a sit-down forklift and obtain certification within 90 days if not currently certified.
• 2+ years of forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry 15–40+ lbs repeatedly during a long shift.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Comfortable in a high-noise, temperature-controlled environment (approximately 50°F in CEW).
• Composite-toe footwear required on day one.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks to restock product and move pallets.
• Straighten CEW and level products for structural integrity and inventory organization.
• Maintain floor cleanliness and address spills; manage external storage and draft cooler.
• Identify damaged product and handle out-of-code items per policy.
• Reload dunnage and prepare return packaging weekly.
• Assist with picking delivery routes using EasyPick scanning system; follow pick sheets.
• Complete daily forklift pre-shift inspections and maintain certification.
• Cross-train in other warehouse roles including evening shift coverage.
