Job summary

KENT Nutrition, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family, is seeking a Mixer Operator in Beardstown, IL. The role involves mixing finished feeds per formula cards, calibrating systems, maintaining logs and ensuring GMP compliance. The position is 1st shift, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m., with benefits including health, dental, vision and 401k. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, age 18+, OSHA/HACCP/FSMA knowledge, strong communication and math skills, and a solid work ethic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18+ to work in plant.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Knowledge of FSMA.
• Good communication skills; verbal and written.
• Math skills sufficient to complete documentation.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
• Ability to cooperate with coworkers is essential.
• Excellent work ethic a must.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mixing system for all finished feeds.
• Calibration of the mixing system.
• Ensure all mixing is in accordance with formula card for quality assurance.
• Record and update logs of various feed formulations mixed daily.
• Ensure equipment is operating properly, cleaned and maintained for continual operation.
• Keep management informed of any errors or issues in the mixing process.
• Follow feed mill Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist in any area of production as requested by the supervisor.
• Learn and follow cGMP in Feed Mixer’s Guide.
• Perform other duties as assigned by plant management.
