Job summary

KENTNutrition in Beardstown, IL invites applications for a Mixer Operator on 1st shift (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). You will perform all scheduled feed mill mixing safely and efficiently to meet company specifications.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of safety and cGMPs, and good math and communication skills. Prior experience in feed or production is preferred. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old to work in plant.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Knowledge of FSMA.
• Good communication skills; verbal and written.
• Math skills sufficient to complete documentation.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Thorough understanding of cGMP’s.
• Ability to cooperate with co-workers is essential.
• Excellent work ethic a must.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mixing system for all finished feeds.
• Calibration of the mixing system.
• Ensure all mixing is in accordance with formula card for quality assurance.
• Record and update logs of various feed formulations mixed daily.
• Make sure equipment is operating properly, cleaned and maintained to ensure proper and continual working condition if mill operation.
• Keep management informed of any errors or issues in the mixing process.
• Follow feed mill Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist in any area of production as requested by the production superintendent, plant manager or supervisor.
• Learn and follow cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) in Feed Mixer’s Guide.
• Other duties as assigned by plant management.
