Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO seeks an Interior/Exterior Maintenance Worker B for 7:00AM–3:30PM. The role performs minor preventative maintenance on equipment, grounds and lawn care, and snow/ice removal.

You will assist maintenance engineers and coordinate with contract service providers when needed. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years in grounds maintenance, ability to operate riding and push lawn mowers, snowblowers, and common hand

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–2 years in grounds maintenance including equipment repair.
Knowledge of grounds care methods and materials.
Ability to operate riding and push lawn mowers and snow removal equipment.
Strong safety practices and ability to direct outside grounds operations.
Good written and verbal communication with hospital staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

Prepares and performs minor preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment.
Performs grounds and lawn maintenance, snow/ice removal around buildings and grounds.
Assists maintenance engineers and workers with their tasks.
Directs outside grounds operations and coordinates with external service providers when contracted.
