Job summary

Truman Medical Centers is seeking an Interior/Exterior Maintenance Worker B at UH Truman in Kansas City, MO. The role supports grounds care, equipment maintenance, and general building upkeep on a 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM schedule.

Responsibilities include lawn care, snow/ice removal, assisting maintenance staff, and coordinating with external service providers while working with hospital staff to maintain safe, clean grounds and facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of grounds maintenance experience with equipment knowledge.
• Ability to operate riding and push lawn mower, snowblower and hand tools.
• If driving is required, meet Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance policy.
• Knowledge of safety practices and techniques.
• Ability to direct outside grounds operations and coordinate with contractors.
• Good eyesight, dexterity and coordination for equipment use.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and performs minor maintenance on powered and nonpowered equipment.
• Maintains buildings and grounds, including lawn care and snow/ice removal.
• Assists maintenance engineers and workers with tasks.
• Direction of outside grounds contractors when services are contracted.
