Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking an entry-level Maintenance and Grounds Technician to support the Office of Administration, Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction. You will perform building, grounds, and equipment maintenance across multiple facilities, contributing to safe, well-maintained state properties.

You will work under general supervision, handle light trades tasks, and participate in after-hours coverage and emergency responses as needed.

Qualifications

• Background check is required for employment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver license from Missouri or adjacent state if you live outside Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with maintenance, grounds, and repairs for state buildings, facilities vehicles, and equipment.
• Operate lawn maintenance tools such as mowers and tractors.
• Provide cleaning, patching, and painting as needed.
• Assist in snow removal, debris disposal, and general grounds upkeep.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours coverage as required.
