Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking an Excavator Operator in Texas to support daily production activities. You will safely operate excavators, load and move materials, and stockpile as required, while following all safety policies and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities include pre-operation inspections, reporting issues, and collaborating with teammates to meet production goals. Requires a strong safety mindset and dependable work ethic.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operate excavators safely and efficiently to support daily production activities.
  • Load, move, and stockpile materials according to operational requirements.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain productivity and meet production goals.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and maintain balance throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and feet to operate equipment controls and perform inspections.
  • Ability to regularly enter and exit heavy equipment using steps and handholds.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain visual awareness and depth perception required for safe equipment operation.
Conditions of Employment
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
Work Environment
  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
