Job summary

The Iron County Medical Center is seeking a Day Shift Full-time ER Dept. Charge Nurse to lead patient care in a high-acuity emergency department. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, adherence to standards of care, and collaboration with physicians and the health care team.

LPN or RN licensed in Missouri with BLS/ACLS and willingness to obtain certifications is preferred. Two years of experience preferred; the position requires physical stamina and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Missouri as an LPN or RN.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (or able to acquire within 6 months).
• Two years’ experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge that the patient comes first at all times.
• Exhibit leadership in standards of care and collaboration with physicians and core team members.
• Complete new patient assessments within unit standards.
• Assess and interpret clinical data and provide timely reports to physicians and team.
• Develop and initiate discharge planning process.
