Job summary

WM (Waste Management) in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a forklift-certified operator who will handle balers, loaders and other equipment to move, bale and load waste materials. The role requires attention to safety, accurate records, and teamwork in a heavy-industry environment.

The position runs 6am-3:30pm Monday-Friday with on-the-job training, growth opportunities, and a commitment to a stable, people-first workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of previous work experience.
• Forklift certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment (baler, front-end loader, bobcat, candensifier or forklift) to transport or bind paper and materials.
• Sorts and grades material; records materials received or distributed.
• Maintains inventory records and prepares load/unload tally sheets.
• Ensures safety, proper material handling, and coordinates with supervisor on material flow.
