Job summary

WM (Waste Management) is hiring for a plant-based position in Spokane, WA. You will operate balers, loaders, and forklifts to handle paper and other materials, while maintaining safety and quality standards at the facility.

The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm schedule and occasional Saturdays. Compensation is $21.00 per hour, plus benefits such as education assistance, medical/dental/vision, and a 401(k) plan with match.

Qualifications

• 6 months of previous work experience.
• Forklift certified and able to operate material handling equipment.
• Emphasis on safety and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates baler, front-end loader, forklift and related equipment to transport or bale materials.
• Sorts and grades material; inspects quality before baling or shipping.
• Maintains inventory records and loads/unloads materials.
• Coordinates material flow and ensures safe operation of equipment.
• Performs daily maintenance and checks on equipment; keeps work areas clean.
• Reads load sheets and follows customer specifications.
