Job summary

The Tennessee State Veterans’ Home Board is seeking a Days Shift Housekeeper for a full-time role within Environmental Services. You will clean patient rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and hallways to exacting standards, following established safety procedures, using appropriate caution signs before wet mopping, and supporting laundry duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare environmental services experience preferred.
• Must interact positively with staff, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms and facility areas to proper standards.
• Follow safety procedures and use caution signs before wet mopping.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures and surfaces in resident rooms and common areas.
• Sanitize bathrooms, remove water marks from fixtures.
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, ceilings and floors.
• Assist in laundry and other housekeeping duties as needed.
