Job summary

Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, TN is currently looking for a Housekeeper – Full Time/day shift – 7a-3p with alternating weekends required.

You will perform day-to-day housekeeping in facility offices, resident rooms and common areas and special projects as assigned, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning resident bathrooms. Daily work involves handling cleaning chemicals safely.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand Standard English and follow safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors in offices, resident rooms and common areas.
• Dust furniture, walls and equipment.
• Clean resident bathrooms and restrooms.
• Work with cleaning chemicals daily and follow safety protocols.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
