Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Manchester, PA seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead site programs. You will ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, drive waste management, and partner with operations for safe, compliant manufacturing. This hands-on role emphasizes training, audits, and incident investigations.

You will work on a plant-floor level with maintenance and engineering, driving continuous EHS improvements while maintaining safety metrics and regulatory records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Experience with incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to work effectively with operations, maintenance, engineering and leadership.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support site Environmental, Health & Safety programs and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local, and company EHS requirements.
• Drive environmental programs including waste management, emissions, stormwater, chemical handling, and hazardous/non-hazardous waste.
• Partner with operations, engineering and maintenance on EHS requirements for new equipment, installations, and process changes.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout the manufacturing operation.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA logs, EHS documentation, compliance records, and safety metrics.
• Deliver and reinforce training in Lockout/Tagout, PPE, hazard communication, machine guarding, ergonomics, and emergency response.
• Identify and reduce risks associated with plastics processing equipment, robotics and automation, compressed air systems, material handling, resins, and other processes.
• Support emergency preparedness, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, spill response, drills, and medical emergency coordination.
