Ideal candidates hold Iowa EMT certification, a high school diploma or GED, 1 year EMT-B experience, valid driver’s license, and BLS within 3 months; mandatory reporter training within 3 months of hire may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Certified EMT in the State of Iowa.
• One year EMT-B direct patient care experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record per Mercy standards.
• BLS within 3 months of hire (AHA for Healthcare Providers).
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients and document findings.
• Prioritize needs and plan care.
• Implement interventions per protocols and document response.
• Evaluate and adjust treatment plan; document changes.
• Prepare equipment and restock/clean unit after missions.
