Job summary

First Student in Toledo, OR is seeking a Diesel Technician to keep our bus fleet safe and reliable on a Monday–Friday day shift from 8 am to 5 pm. You’ll earn around $27.19 per hour with potential bonus for ASE tests, plus company-paid CDL Class B training and an extensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1+ year diesel or automotive maintenance experience or equivalent tech education.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle issues.
• DOT safety requirements and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and perform brake, engine, suspension, and transmission repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete work orders accurately and assist with on-site emergency repairs.
