Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring a Diesel Technician to maintain and repair school buses for the Phoenix/Talent School District in Talent, OR.

The role offers a Monday-Friday day shift from 8 am to 4 pm with a starting hourly rate of $26.02, plus bonus opportunities for ASE tests and access to company-paid CDL Class B training. Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel or automotive maintenance and repair experience, or equivalent technical school education and experience.
• Vehicle diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and perform maintenance including brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmissions, and clutches.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and safety inspections.
• Complete work orders accurately.
• Assist with mobile emergency repair services when needed.
