Job summary

Schneider in Reserve, LA is hiring an Entry Level Diesel Technician to start a shop career. You’ll perform routine maintenance on trucks and trailers, handle component replacements and troubleshoot basic issues.

This full-time role supports the shop team on Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. You’ll use maintenance software to track work orders, stock inventory, and communicate status updates to internal customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Relevant industry experience preferred.
• Computer systems experience required.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance including tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
• Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
• Communicate status updates to internal customers.
• Assist with stocking, inventory management, and tracking repairs.
