Job summary

Schneider is seeking an Entry Level Diesel Technician in Charlotte, NC to start a rewarding shop career. You'll perform routine maintenance on trucks and trailers, handle component replacements and troubleshoot issues to keep fleets in top condition.

You will work the second shift, full time, with a schedule of Monday to Wednesday and every other weekend from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., and use maintenance software to create and track work orders while communicating status updates to internal

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Relevant industry experience preferred.
• Computer systems experience required.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance, including tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
• Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
• Communicate status updates to internal customers.
• Assist with general shop duties, including stocking,inventory and tracking repairs.
